General information

Aims and objectives: The course aims to provide advanced knowledge in problem solving approach and related IT tools, oriented to Economics and Social-Political Sciences. At the end of the course, students will have acquired sufficient notions to apply problem solving methodologies.

Syllabus: The course focuses on problem solving approach. The following arguments will be treated: problem solving approach methodologies; IT tools supporting P.S. and practical applications; P.S. and decision making – theory and relationships; creative P.S. – ex. Socio-demographical analysis; strategic P.S. – ex. PIL; algorithmic/Management P.S. – ex. Control applications; the Computational Thinking.
Lessons: theoretical lectures and practical demos.
